ABOUT THE SONG
It’s Christmas 2024 and I am so excited to find that Coffeehouse Christmas has included my recent holiday single “Christmas Must Be Tonight” on their playlist. And since we’re about to go out on the road for the 10th Annual Home For The Holidays Tour, I’m adding it to the set list. Can’t wait to do this one live for you.
And hey! If you like being teased with projects in development, I’m sketching out a new Broadway album that is going to knock your socks off. Here are some of the shows I’m currently perusing songs from. Chess, West Side Story, Company, Once, Cabaret, Big River, The Light In The Piazza, Ragtime, Chicago, The Secret Garden, The Last Five Years, Godspell.
So many good choices – and you know I’ll put my own spin on them. With the original musical being my top priority, I’m taking my time with this one, but you may hear a few of these new songs creep in to my set list in 2025.
RECENT SINGLES
Holy & Fly Away were recorded with producers Aron Chaturvedi and Luke McMaster for Green Hill Music. They were released as a part of Luke and Aron’s Recovered & Reimagined Series. These guys arrange acoustic covers so nicely. And two lovely guys to work with. Thanks Greg for the experience. Fun fact. Holy was the first cover in Green Hill Music history to feature a same sex couple.
STUDIO BLOG
After eleven albums of relying on rushed producers working with my nearly nonexistent recording budgets to convey my musical ideas the best they knew how, I am now at the board. I am now the producer. The creator of my own art from the ground up. Being a music producer is a skill that is new to me, so you will no doubt see a marked improvement as you follow along with this blog single by single. But I’m already seeing that giving myself unlimited time and space to thoughtfully choose my musical palette with each new song I write is significantly defining who I am as an artist in today’s environment. I have fallen madly in love with music again and I think it shows. As vulnerable as it is to grow a skill in a public space, this is what I am most excited to share with you. My goal is to release six new singles every year – so you will see a constant musical evolution taking place by following this blog. And spoiler alert – all the coming singles for the next two years are songs from a new musical that I’ve been writing. Join me for a musical journey that is as new and unpredictable for me as it will be for you.
