DEMO: Delivery Me – from the new musical

LK Crew, I’m excited to give you a little more content from the ever-evolving new musical project.

I think we finally have a title that is going to endure. It speaks well to the experience of the story and how I want people to feel about themselves when they leave the theatre after watching the show.

If you don’t recall, this musical is now a cast of three. Originally it was written for two characters. Creating another character has enriched the storytelling and of course allows me to play with vocal harmonies and textures.

You’ve likely heard Deliver Me before if you listened to the old pitch demo. But this version is the entire scene, and now with the three characters involved. Levi takes Matthew back to the old tent revival he and his Grandaddy used to go to. Taking on the roll of Grandaddy, Levi lures Matthew into a collision of religion and sexuality, wanting to be healed from the crush he has on the pastors son only to be enamored with the extremely handsome and handsy faith-healing pastor.

This is going to be a delightful scene and will likely be one of people’s favorite moments in the show.

Please do not share this material. This is private – for LK Crew only. And I will keep sharing them as I continue making demos for my music notation guy to use.
